Salary Range: $48,500.00/yr. - $68,018.00/yr. 

The base compensation represents the entry point of the salary range. Salary placements will vary and may be above the starting wage based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, education, and licensure. Salary placements generally occur between the starting wage and the midpoint of the salary range.

The crisis Response Team (CRT) is a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing quality care and assessments to individuals and families needing crisis intervention. The team provides behavioral health services in a variety of North Range community settings.

Position Summary:

With a Customer First and Compassionate approach, Mental Health Clinicians will:

  • Embrace the North Range Behavioral Health Mission Statement – Provide compassionate, comprehensive care for people who face mental health and addiction challenges.
  • Intervene and de-escalate crisis situations with clients. Provide crisis intervention via telephone or face-to-face in the UCHealth emergency department setting.
  • Assess diagnosis mental status and risk of harm to self or others in utilizing required instruments and formats within appropriate timelines.
  • Collaborate continuously with UCHealth staff to devise safety planning, provide symptom management, identify support systems, and reduce and mitigate risk factors. Maintain close and cooperative relationships with community agencies and other public agencies in carrying out care/disposition plans.
  • Identify case management services to assist clients to meet their goals as stated in client care plans. Refer clients to appropriate services and providers.
  • May monitor urine analysis, breathalyzers, and other medication as deemed appropriate by medical staff.
  • May assist in Medicaid authorizations.
  • May facilitate a 72-hour hold and may support emergency commitment processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the NRBH Program Director and/or Coordinator of UCHealth management/administration.

Education Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in psychology, social work, or other behavioral health disciplines from an accredited College or University is Required.
  • Colorado provisional licensure in appropriate discipline or Colorado licensure is Required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License and driving record that meets agency insurability requirements.


  • Experience in the behavioral health field is highly preferred
  • Experience in coordinating mental health intervention plans and services with other agencies preferred
  • Experience with Trauma-Informed Care preferred
